We understand how important secure housing is to the success of families and individuals.
A stable and suitable home allows working parents to hold steady jobs, keep children consistently enrolled in the same schools, and reinforces the inherent dignity of all who live there. We help our neighbors transition into safe and affordable homes through assistance with rent and move-in costs and a plan to prevent homelessness and poverty.
Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano is NOT currently accepting applications for rental assistance.
“We are reminded in the gospel that the first human problem Jesus faced on earth was a lack of shelter. There was ‘no room in the inn’ for the Holy Family in Bethlehem. Today, we see in the faces of homeless men, women, and children, the face of Christ. We know that in reaching out to them, standing with them in defending their rights, in working with them and their families for decent housing, we serve the Lord.”
