Harvest of Hope

A Fundraising Campaign

Our Harvest of Hope celebration was just the beginning! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we've already raised nearly $37,000 toward our $75,000 year-end fundraising goal!

Now, we invite you to help us keep that momentum going. Every gift helps Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano provide food, essential resources, compassionate support, and hope to individuals and families throughout Yolo and Solano counties.

Together, we can reach $75,000 by December 31 and continue turning compassion into action.

The event may be over, but there's still so much hope to harvest!

The need is growing. Together, we can grow the response.

Food Access + Community Support Services | Yolo & Solano Counties

Across Yolo and Solano counties, families are working hard and still struggling to keep up with the rising cost of food, housing, transportation, utilities, child care, and health care. Federal changes are creating a compounding impact: families face disruptions in food and health coverage at the same time CCYS has fewer government resources to respond.

13,000+

Food assistance at risk

Local residents could be at risk of losing CalFresh/Snap assistance - about 5,200 in Yolo and more than 8,000 in Solano.

-37,000

Medi-cal members affected

New work and reporting requirements beginning in 2027 are expected to affect about 2,700 people in Yolo and 16,280 in Solano.

-90%

CCYS revenue decrease

Federal cuts have reduced CCYS’s Food & Nutrition program revenue by nearly 90% just as community need is rising.

THE FUNDING DECREASED. THE NEED DID NOT.

CCYS is strengthening the flexible community safety net families rely on when benefits or coverage are disrupted.

CCYS HAS A PROVEN HISTORY OF RESPONDING

Last year, our Food & Nutrition programs reached 13,801 people, distributed more than 45,000 pounds of food, and helped more than 1,200 households explore their eligibility for CalFresh.

When food or health benefits are lost, families face greater instability. SNAP reductions increase food insufficiency and pantry use, while uninsured adults are much more likely to delay or skip needed care because of cost.

Whole-Person Care

ECMS coordinates medical and social needs for high-need Medi-Cal members. Medical supportive food is associated with lower inpatient and emergency department use.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Statewide, DHCS projects 1.1 million Medi-Cal coverage losses by 2029-30 from the new work requirement. The initiation of enhanced ACA premium tax credits is also projected to increase the number of uninsured nationally.

The need is growing. Together, we can grow the response.

HELP US RAISE $75,000 BY DECEMBER 31, 2026

Private donations give CCYS the flexibility to respond when and where our neighbors need us most.

Harvest of Hope Fundraiser

What an incredible evening! On October 16, 2026, friends, supporters, and community partners gathered at Wooden Valley Winery for Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano's Harvest of Hope Fundraiser. It was a beautiful evening filled with laughter, heartfelt stories, delicious food, and a shared commitment to bringing hope to our neighbors in need.

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our community, we raised $36,975 in donations, pledges, sponsorships, ticket sales, auction bids, and raffle proceeds! This incredible support brings us closer to our $75,000 Harvest of Hope Campaign goal.

One of the most powerful moments of the evening came when a courageous guest speaker shared her personal journey, reminding everyone that behind every service we provide is a person, a family, and a story worth hearing. Her words beautifully captured the heart of our mission and the importance of compassion in action.

We were also honored to recognize two extraordinary community partners:

🏆 CARITAS Award – Mensa Christi Ministry, recognizing its unwavering commitment to serving others through faith, compassion, and generosity.

🏆 Community Partner Award – Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, celebrating its invaluable partnership in fighting hunger and strengthening our communities.

The evening also featured exciting auction packages, raffle prizes, wonderful food, and opportunities for guests to connect with the mission and people behind Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our generous sponsors, donors, community partners, Board of Directors, Development Committee, staff, volunteers, and everyone who helped bring this special evening to life.

While the celebration has ended, our mission continues!

Our Harvest of Hope Campaign runs through December 31, 2026, and we invite our community to help us reach our $75,000 goal. Every contribution supports our work providing food access, immigration legal services, disaster preparedness education, and essential community resources throughout Yolo and Solano counties.

Thank you for helping us Harvest Hope. Together, we're making a difference, one life and one act of kindness at a time.
