Our
Story
Catholic Charities of Yolo-Solano is more than a social service agency—it is a living expression of the Church’s mission in action. Inspired by the Holy Spirit and rooted in our Catholic faith, we are called to serve all people in need, not because they are Catholic, but because we are. Guided by compassion and a deep commitment to justice, we provide life-changing support to vulnerable individuals and families throughout Solano and Yolo counties. Through programs like food access, nutrition education, immigration legal services, and disaster response, we bring hope, healing, and opportunity to those facing hardship.
MIssion
At Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano, our mission is rooted in the Gospel and guided by Catholic Social Teaching. We are committed to walking alongside the most vulnerable individuals and families in our communities, responding to their needs with compassion, dignity, and respect.
We serve not because those we help are Catholic, but because we are—driven by our faith to bring hope, healing, and justice to those experiencing poverty, hardship, or marginalization. Through programs focused on food and nutrition, immigration legal services, disaster response, and more, we provide essential support that helps people meet their basic needs and begin the journey toward long-term stability.
We believe that every person is a child of God, deserving of opportunity, care, and community. With the support of our partners, donors, and volunteers, we strive to be a light in the lives of others—building a more just, compassionate, and thriving region for all.
